Holy Fire Service Live Broadcast

The annual event of Holy Saturday, the day preceding Orthodox Easter, the Holy Fire (Ἃγιον Φῶς) service takes place in Jerusalem in the Church of the Resurrection (also named Church of the Anastasis (Ναὸς τῆς Ἀναστάσεως) or the Church of the Holy Sepulchre). The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem brings candles to the Church from the shrine of the tomb of Jesus Christ. These candles are believed to be lit by the Holy Spirit.

The event is considered a miracle by the Orthodox, Armenian, Coptic, Oriental and many Eastern-rite Churches. Many thousands of people who wish to attend the Holy Fire celebration cannot be present in the Church.

Saint Lazare International began broad -casting this service in 2015 to enable people all over they world to participate. This unites local and foreign Christians of different denominations in mutual celebration in the Holy Land.

The live broadcast is available free of cost and is only possible with the support of volunteers and donations.
